Senior Vice President /Agency Operations Leader/Account Executive
As a native Austinite, and a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, majoring in insurance, Vicky entered the insurance business as a licensed property and casualty agent. Involved in every aspect of sales and operations, she advanced to CEO of Texas Insurance Services, Inc. In 2000, joining the partners of Balcones-Southwest, she brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to the personal lines division. Today, providing integral operational expertise for Brown & Brown, Vicky continues to expand the agency’s footprint in the Lone Star state.
Vicky is active in numerous professional and community organizations and is currently serving as Vice President of the downtown Austin Rotary Club. She is also active on several national insurance advisory councils. Providing fresh perspectives to clients and resources to her staff, she enjoys building relationships based on quality and trust.
Jamie DeBellas
Sales Leader
Jamie is responsible for overall growth of the commercial lines client portfolio. This includes generating new client opportunities while leading our team of producers. He focuses on labor-intensive industries with an emphasis on staffing, construction, special trades, allied healthcare, and community outreach.
In 2008, Jamie joined Brown & Brown, serving as Commercial Lines Marketing Leader. Prior to Brown & Brown, Jamie spent ten years in various sales and marketing capacities with the nation’s fifth largest independent risk management consulting firm. As Director of Business Development, he led efforts to establish a national risk management certification program involving A-rated carriers and the target industry’s national trade organization.
Jamie is a Houston native and a graduate of the University of Montana. He is married to Laura, an elementary school teacher, and they have one daughter. Embracing the Austin community, Jamie has become actively involved in volunteer work with several local civic and church organizations.
Shelia D. Moore, CIC, ACSR
Commercial & Marketing Leader
Shelia was born and raised in Central Texas and after attending Texas Tech University returned to start her family and career. Shelia brings over 18 years of insurance industry experience to Brown & Brown.
Currently, Shelia holds the Certified Insurance Counselor and Accredited Customer Service Representative designations. She has served on several insurance company CSR advisory panels where her insight has helped develop new and innovative company approaches to building relationships. Shelia is active in the Austin Association of Insurance Professionals, having just completed her term as President. She volunteers in the community with Make-A-Wish Foundation and AISD Partners in Education at Wooten Elementary School.
Steve Bryant
Senior Account Executive
Steve joined Brown & Brown of Austin in 2008 after six years with Brown & Brown of Colorado in Steamboat Springs. Expanding the current Austin team, he has taken on the role of generating new business through client development. His diverse experience adds expertise and capabilities to serve existing clients and engage new clients professionally and accurately. Steve brings vast industry knowledge, enabling him to consult with clients on their employee benefits programs, from start to finish, and assist his clients' management teams with their day to day needs.
Steve's insurance career spans 30 plus years. After studying mathematics at the University of Colorado and completing extensive training with The Aetna and Hartford Insurance schools, he became a specialist in the employee benefits arena. Later, his employ with Frank B. Hall (a.k.a. AON) allowed him to be focused on national and international accounts where he helped design employee benefit plans using alternative funding solutions.
Steve continues to stay abreast of industry trends, new products, and innovative delivery methods by his continued studies in the Charter Life Underwriter (CLU), Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), and Life Underwriters Training Course (LUTC) programs. Steve enjoys participating in sales training programs as the "sales trainer" and has served on numerous insurance company advisory councils.
Mike S. Winton
Account Executive
Mike joined Brown & Brown as a licensed Life & Health, as well as Property & Casualty Account Executive in 2011. He specializes in the design and implementation of benefit programs for companies’ most valuable resources; their employees.
Mike has over 16 years of direct sales, sales operations, and sales force management experience in the Telecommunications industry. Responsible for as many as 120 employees, he developed a great understanding of the working relationships between companies, The human resources department, management, and their employees.
Prior to his work in the Communications field, Mike spent several years in the Newspaper Advertising industry assisting small to medium sized business clients in developing marketing and advertising campaigns designed to increase sales and grow their business. In this capacity, Mike learned a great deal about the importance of representing his clients as if their business was his own. Mike has been a member of the Austin community for almost 20 years and is a graduate of Texas State University in San Marcos.
Richard M. Treta, CFP®
Financial Planner
The strategic alliance between Brown & Brown and Sagemark Consulting provides Brown & Brown of Austin’s clients with comprehensive financial planning for individuals and business owners. Richard M. Treta is a CFP® (Certified Financial Planner) and during the course of his 25+ year career, Rich has been committed to making unbiased, objective recommendations that are in alignment with his clients’ goals and values.
The services he provides encompass wealth management including stocks, bonds, life insurance, annuities and mutual funds. He also offers tax reduction strategies, retirement planning, estate planning and preservation, asset protection strategies, succession planning for business owners, 401(K) and deferred compensation plans, disability insurance, long term care insurance and key person insurance.
Rich strives to provide each client with the highest quality of values-based financial planning advice while exceeding their expectations for a first class client experience. He is an active member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA).
